Yelagiri

This serene hill station got 14 hairpin bends and interestingly, these bends are named after Tamil poets and personalities. The route up to the top of the hill could take 20 mins approx. by car and offers scenic views of the surrounding landscape.  This beat-the-heat hill station abodes decent stays and budget friendly resorts.

• Nov - Feb - Peak Season - This is the best season to visit Yelagiri hills. Temperature - 12 - 25 degrees celsius

• Mar - June - Moderate. Least preferred season. But if you are from hotter city like Chennai, then Yelagiri will still be a simple and nearby vacay spot with climate better than Chennai. Temperature - 20-30 degrees celsius

• July - Oct - Off season - Temperature - 18 - 25 degrees celsius with occasional rainfall and showers
